Design Notes

For this project we are focusing on the accumulation of GPP, which is the precursor of our CBDA synthetic pathway. Therefore, one of the ways we have found to generate this accumulation is to avoid the detour of this metabolite to the terpenoid pathway present in the yeast genome. This will be done using interference RNA produced with the ERG20 enzyme, which is responsible for converting GPP into FPP.
